Alberta authorities names provincial police drive, appoints former Calgary officer as first chief


Alberta’s authorities has named its personal provincial police drive and introduced its first chief.

Premier Danielle Smith says former deputy Calgary police chief Sat Parhar has been tapped to steer the brand new drive, which the province will name the Alberta Sheriffs Police Service.

Parhar retired in 2019 after greater than twenty years with the Calgary Police Service in a wide range of roles.
